Dumb question, successful mission abandonment

Really dumb question, and I've never seen any observations about this.

Anybody know what happens if you abandon a successful mission?

I know the following happens:

• Abandoning an active mission: loss of rep only
• Failing a mission: Relevant Negative Inf/Rep/Eco/Sec effects

But abandoning a successful mission? I know effects don't occur until after mission submission, but you don't seem to suffer any rep loss from abandoning a successful mission either, so wondering if the positive effects still happen?

For reference, the only missions which can be "successfully abandoned" are ones like assassination/massacre/powerplant destruction... ones where success = target destroyed.

Missions themselves have no effect on either faction until you hand them in. The actions performed during the mission (killing a pirate say, or gaining a bounty) remain regardless of whether you complete the mission or not for any reason.

You can abandon a delivery mission after delivering the goods but before completing it too, and base scans. There are probably others
