Dumbfire missiles?

Hello everyone i've been searching for dumbfire missiles for hitting ground targets and couldn't find anywhere so far. Any suggestions about how to complete planetside missions without it or any ways to fire seeker missiles at ground targets? Any idea would be apreciated. I think i came across a thread that says they are completely gone which is frustrating :| Perhaps i should try another way is it wise to use multicannons or cannons etc. any insight would be apreciated. Thank you.

Try https://eddb.io/station and search for 1B or 2B Missile Rack.

I have also used fixed pulse lasers for ground attack missions, can work quite well if you have good aim. ;)

Dumbfire missiles are still around. I found 2 locations with them yesterday. Try roguey.co.uk or eddb.io. Both will help you track down what you're looking for.

Jenny has a fixed size 2 beam on her Courier, and she can use it to completely take out ground defenses (including skimmers). It's basically like aiming a laser pointer :)

That said, dumbfire missiles pack a massive punch for a size 1 hard point. I've used them to great effect on large targets when flying small ships like the iEagle (once you get the shields down). And, missiles are fun!

I know this first part is pretty off topic and i bang on about the X series a lot, BUT if you like missiles, they're extremely varied and fun to use in the series in really any of X's ships, while in particular Missile Frigates (which were introduced in Terran Conflict) which aside from some of them, though not all of them having defensive turrets, they ONLY fire missiles as primary ammo and given a big enough supply (and usually after taking quite a while and many millions in build their missiles in often dedicated factory complexes), they can obliterate entire sectors and are basically an "I Win!" button, with a full cargo hold (with or without transport ships sitting on standby with MORE missiles...

A similar thing that can absolutely destroy even the biggest enemy targets are launching hundreds if not thousands of fighter drones, or a dozen or more lasertowers...

Such things are enough to make you shout "What Fun!", like Fawkes in Fallout 3 :) .

Anyway back to the topic of missiles in this game, while i haven't tried dumbfire missiles, as i prefer homing missiles, even given the extra damage dumbfire ones offer.

I still love using them in this game (even given their limitations compared to the X series missiles, only giving us two choices of missiles and making us fire them from hardpoints, when missiles in X are stored in your cargo bay and fire independently of your other main weapons) and i use at least one launcher on ships with small turrets and even put small ones in medium turrets sometimes, as i'm 90% sure class 2 missile launchers don't fire more powerful missiles than class one launchers (MAYBE class three missiles are more powerful), but only carry more missiles, while needing a fair bit more power to run and costing a fair bit more too... still missiles are always great :) .

The benefit of dumbfires over seekers are multitude - 1) more damage, 2) can carry a lot more, which makes big difference on size 1 hardpoints, and 3) can spam fire without waiting for a lock. The obvious downside is that you got to aim like a pro to hit small, fast targets (or just use your other weapons for those).

That said, I usually pick seekers when I know I'll be engaging those aforementioned small targets. I've also mounted 1 dumbfire pod and 1 seeker pod on some mission running ships, which I toggle via fire control, depending on the situation.
