just a quick one.

I played Frontier (Elite 2) A LOT when I was a kid. I played Elite 1 also but Frontier really blew my mind away... omg remember those graphics!!
anyway I loved that game... I loved to so much

In Frontier, one thing you could do that you cannot do in Elite Dangerous is to vent your hydrogen fuel.

now i know what your thinking... WHY!... why would you want to DO that?!!?1

well actually there were a few reasons..

in exploration it can help you get that slightly bigger jump range you may need

in Frontier, scooping valuable resources from out of a gas giant was a thing to do... in fact, my FAVORITE thing to do. this process saw commanders try to balance the tenuous line between ship mass and escape velocity while diving bravely (or insanely) into gas giants.. I am really looking forward to something akin to this in ED, but dumping fuel was very much a part of that.... aah remember those days? like the corners of my mind :)

anyway, I just think a little button to allow commanders to vent some of their fuel would be a nice addition. and I don't see how it would cause any problems..

what do you think?

This has been requested multiple times and AFAIK not yet acknowledged by FD.

I'd love to be able to dump fuel and my srvs and fighter bay. Sometimes out exploring in my caddi something new has been found in bubble or a new paint pack I just have to add on my ships (I may have issues) but that aside I want to max my jump back home and getting rid of that would help.

This is a great idea and sorely missed. They should be sure to put a "No Smoking" light on the dashboard to go with the fuel jettison.

The only downside is that now jokers will be ing fuel to go along with the biowaste they litter in your path.
