Dunderbraks travels

Since I'm more of a casual than dedicated player my ongoing trip to the center will probably take more time than for most others. I started 28dec 3301 just travelling the first 3000Ly as fast as I could in my Asp. After the first two days I didn't play every day - only when I needed some relaxing time. NGC 6357 was passed the same day as I registered here and after that I've travelled to my present position a little more than 14000LY from Sun.

I've noticed a few things that surprises me:
* I've seen maybe 20 water worlds in the systems I've looked arund in, but not even one earth like so far (and most I've scanned for this purpose is F,G,K stars)
* Black holes are not very realistic since you can get very close without any grav effect at all
* Where I'm right now, (14000Ly in almost a straight line towards the center from Sun) there seems to be a lot of stars (more packed than the center from what I can see):

Right now I'm travelling 1000-2000LY the days I play so I guess I will reach my next target "Great Annihilator in a week or so from now. Then Sag A*. After that I will go somewhere and make a serious try t find my first earth like

A very interesting view indeed! Just look att the "sector" with densely packed stars ahead:

Nice screenshots CMDR. Looks like we're following a similar route although I'm behind you as I'm heading towards NGC 6357 now from the Eagle Nebula.
The Great Annihilator is on my visit list as well with my ultimate goal being Sag A*.

Once I reach there I will decide whether to press on or return home.

Great! Lets see if we end up close to each other some day and are able to meet up during our path.
Right now I'm starting todays travel at 14500Ly from Sun. Will probable do 1000-1500Ly today with little or no scanning.

I'm now att 17100Ly - 5900 to go to Great Innihalator. Nothing interesting seen today but the peculiar distribution av stars in the sky dome continues.

After a period of sporadic travelling I've reached the Great Annihalator. Smashed right into the "body exclusion zone" and out of SC. I guess you can afford only a few visits to bigger BH since you loose health for each such occation. My canopy is now 80% (some damage came before the GA - near stars when I was almost sleeping and came to close a few times).Screenshot_0016.jpg

You can use the debug camera to take external shots without having your cockpit in the way. Go to bindings and set it to one of your function keys (or whatever you like)

I arrived to Sag A* a few hours to late for the rendezvous with the distant worlds expedition, but there is a new meeting 16.30 on Sunday so I'll try again. Met only one cmdr at the rendezvous point.
However I'm not joining the whole way to the far side, but heading in another direction as said before. I miss all the other stuff back home like bounty hunting and missions.

I thought I missed that too :) I was back about two weeks before I headed off again.

Very disappointed! I tried to meet the distant world fleet at "18:00 gametime launch from Armstrong Landing" at the exact spot. I could (temporarily) see 2-3 other ships, then they just disappeared. No "mighty takeoff" - at least not visible for me. The server connections didn't look very stable. Maybe I did something wrong or just having a bad connection :-(

Long ago since I travelled through the galaxy. Had some time of and a few weeks ago started to grind to get Elite status as a trader and to introduce my daughter to the game. We are playing together now, but seems unable to find each other in open play - it only works in a private group.
