I have a huge building with strings of lights attached to one of the outer walls. I want to copy a large group with multiple 4m light strings to duplicate it in other spots on the wall. When i go into edit building mode, select multiple strings and duplicate them, the duplicates will not attach to the wall of the building. They come out in front, away from the wall. If i just select one 4m string, then no problem. Has anyone else seen this issue or have a solution? Thanks

i think that's happened to me with lights, and it definitely happened with ivy.
when you duplicate the lights and get them near to where you want, can you press x to use advanced move and push them flush with the wall?
To avoid the issue of the duplicated lights being off the wall, you need to include a gridded part in the selection with the multiple strings of lights. So suppose the gridded wall is the same all along as it is where the original set of lights is. Delete one piece of the wall from where you want the duplicate lights to be, then include the corresponding wall piece in with the lights when you select them. When you duplicate all this, the copied lights will be in the same prosition relative to the copied wall as they were originally, and the copied wall will fit into the hole in the other wall section, so all will be the same across both wall areas.
NOTE: This also works good for placing the same wall trim and windows all around a building.
