Durius Dominion "Feeding the Beast" donation missions

Fellow imperialist commanders,

I've finally arrived VERY late to the Durius system (I'm such a noob i didn't realize how this stuff worked until now, 13 days post releast). I see these "Feed the beast" missions which ask me to donate various sums of money to the Durius Dominion (Empire) faction, which I have 66% influence with. I already happily donated 40k credits. One mission wants 4 mil, which I COULD give them, having 5.5 mil in the bank and a fully outfitted Viper to play with (no more upgrades needed), and a lakon type 6 sitting in a station from which I have a 1 jump 1mil/hour route waiting back at home if I ever need cash.


The question is.... are these donations worthwhile enough, that I should spend 4mil of my hard earned credits? 4 mil to me means 4 hours I spent space trucking....

You don't have 66% influence with them. They have 66% of the influence in the system. You have a reputation with them which is described as hostile/unfriendly/neutral/friendly/allied.

Your reward for those donations is increased reputation and perhaps having some impact on the outcome of the conflict in that system. Only you can answer whether that reputation is worth the cost. I would guess that since it's most of your free cash it wouldn't be worth it for you.

I also have now realized that I'm infinitely more noobish that I first assessed; the Durius Dominion is not an Empire faction, but an Independent one. I am a hapless fool who donated money to the enemy by way of sheer and utter ignorance.

Goggle search hit. I have a system with group that is currently @ 98% power ... i have been helping it quite a bit (food etc) ... all the other other stations in the system is at civil war (I would like to think I had a part in that), I am SO tempted to support them with the 4 million donation, as 4 mil is not all that much for me ... I am already ALLIED ... worth is? This freaking game does not give any way for me to known
