DW2 Sounds Awesome but I know I would go batty. Anyone else like me? Even a little?

Well, some of us have to fight the Thargoid incursions.

There are at least 5000 commanders set to go on the Distant Worlds 2 Expedition. Even Fdev is going. I very much want to join the festivities but know I will regret it after the 25th jump. The planets and other celestial bodies are gorgeous but after awhile I get bored with them. I also have the attention span of a two month old kitten.

So to help me feel better about myself, I would love to know if there are others who are also exploring disabled.

P.S. Maybe some of us should form a "We Aren't Going Anywhere And Never Will" expedition?

I understand where you are coming from. I wouldn't call myself 'explorer disabled' but rather I do what I want to do when I want to do it and committing myself to play one small part of a game for an extended period of time isn't my sort of thing. Plus I like to explore 'where the wind takes me', not necessarily on a planned goal.

Having said that, all those completing DW2 are going to have some enviable memories and I sincerely wish them all the best.

I'm going, but I have a feeling I'm going to get left behind because I'm not the best at keeping to a schedule when I'm gaming. But I will keep track of the waypoints and will eventually do the whole trip.
