Quick question - if I die while on a long exploration trip, I know i'll lose all collected data...... but am wondering where i'll respawn? I have plenty insurance, but will I respawn in the same sector I died in, or my last overnight save/exit, or the last station I docked at? It hasn't happened yet <touches wood> but I came mighty close last night and it set me wondering....

Last station, I believe.
If I correctly remember, you should respawn at the last station you docked. So yes, you lose all the exploration data (and a few days/weeks of your life) and some thousands/tens of thousands light years. That's why you want to be extra cautious out there
