Dynamic Coaster supports

What every happened to this? The dev's have said they wanted to make the supports more realistic and dynamic but they still look the same in alpha 3. Has this been abandon in lieu of the custom supports in alpha 3? That would be very disappointing if that is the case if we have to make our own supports.

The best most realistic supports in the game IMO is by far the Arrow coaster which mixes the typical single poles and the scaffolding style when parts get to higher elevation.

Is this still something to expect?

And we still need to remember what was said on the Gamescom stream... alpha 3 is only 10% of the final Game..
So i think such things will come later...

And where did you read this? Alpha 3 is most likely near 100% of the final game, especially since there have been such a slow progress so far I don't see how they are gonna add that much content in just 3 months

So you can remove them but can you also add them?

Yes

Remember to let the Dev's also know what thing(s) can be improved with the supports. Maybe with an image from the real coaster counterpart and how it looks in-game. Because we don't have height markers it can also be that some coasters aren't build high or low enough to generate the right supports.

10% of the final game sounds great, but i think this was more like a joke from Ed or something if this was said. I think we have more like 65% of the game when Alpha 3 is available.

here is an example of what I mean

Notice the single vertical support on the lift hill on Planet coaster

Those were just a few example of what I mean by having better supports

I hope they will improve this further. I see your point :)

There is no way we are going to get realistic supports without a custom support option. There are just too many conditions and options available for the computer to make the right determination 100% of the time. Custom supports are the only way we will get truly realistic supports in all scenarios and coaster types.

I disagree, you could give the option of what supports to put for the track then the supports would be calculated based on the height of the coaster for that support type.

They already do it with the arrow coaster and you dont have to select the support type
