E:D of your dreams - how much is it worth for you?

Erm, yes, sure. Good luck with that one.

I can do good dog impressions. "Woof Woof!" - that was my labradoodle impression. Good wasn't it?

One time or monthly?

+1 there is no option for as subscription... and a subscription model is the only way to fund continuous development... i.e. the game has to be good enough to retain support.

Make another thread for those who want to drive FD into the ground so the code base is released. Making it possible to fork an open source project, call it "Evil Code Ninja Power Play".

I think that a premium, not mandatory and not Pay2Win subscription can work. Call it a Season Pass for every cosmetic item. I think there will be enough people willing to pay for that.

But this question is totally not about that.

We already paid for the game, and we already know major expansions will be charged as well. There is also an in-game store, and if they want to boost their profits in the mean time, they only need to add some variety to it.

Some argue that what we paid isn't enough for the game that we want, like our expectations are unrealistic. And some are not willing to give money to Frontier. That what that hypothetical, unrealistic scenario is for. To separate your willingness to pay for a better game from the reality on the ground.

I put in an annual contribution to the game I want. This game would essentially be a massive expansion every year. Or, well, maybe I put a cost per expansion, rather than per year. I would gladly pay the price of the game at launch again for each expansion as comprehensive as the two expansions we have so far been hinted about. The v2.0 or 3.0, so to speak.

Zero. I already paid for the game.

Incorrect. Subscription is NOT the only way to fund continuous development, that's just what you think or want but you are wrong. Will never happen anyway. Not sure why some people want a sub, perhaps more money than sense I suspect. I already paid for the game and I am not paying for it again

I can't help but laugh at these little kiddies who think they know anything about game development. I could give you a list of dozens of games that do not have subscriptions and are still developed years after they came out. You are clearly new to games so I'll let you off.

I think they're missing a trick not selling any ship models instore. Its not difficult to 3d print them off, I could do it myself.

It WAS already worth 500 Pounds and I dont see that it was a good investment - for now. Lets see how many things are coming in the next months.

It is clearly, more or less a fun thread. I don't get why in every thread about anything you always have the dissatisfied people have to give their two cents. In a sometimes pretty aggressive manner. Can't you start your own thread to complain about the game?
Well, however, after spoiling the thread myself, i would pay 200£ because my wife would kill me if i spent more on one game. Theoretically i would save money. Since Elite came out i played only one game for 13hrs (witcher3) and none other but delayed witcher to get back to Elite now.
Sorry for my little rant, i'm in need of harmony ( i know, i shouldn't be in the internet then ;-))
