E:D on the Xbox One?

So my year old PC isn't up to running ED that I paid for in the backing phase.

Not prepared to pay £500+ to play ED- so might Cmdr Eyeswater finally see a ship on the Xbone??

I can only dream.

You may have to get in line.. It is my understanding that the Mac community is still waiting for their "in 12 weeks" scenario :)

And I am sure Linux and steam O.S. will also have a plea for inclusion.
But.. nothing is impossible I spose....

Year old PC? My computer is seven years old and plays ED very well- I have a Core 2 Extreme 3 Ghz plus a beaten up GTX 460 and plays 60FPS at 720p with full detail.

What are your specs?

Im curious why It wont run the game. My PC is only mid range and is 3 years old. It seems to run pretty much on anything.

I have a year old bottom of the range cheap laptop with on-board graphics ... sure I can only run it at 1024x768/15fps but it runs that on fairly high settings.

Drop your resolution.

My fellow Cmdr's views are greatly appreciated. My support ticket returned saying the CPU and GPU were not up to spec.....:)

I see no reason why that spec wouldn't run E: D.

I have a 7 year old Core 2 Quad with an ATi 7700 and 8GB RAM, so my spec is slightly punier than yours. I run in 'high' detail and get 35FPS, except when I visit planetary rings when it drops to about 25FPS.

I'd be surprised if the processor was too weak - the gfx card could use some beef though.

For reference though this is what I built for one of my girls Christmas present - it's easily strong enough to tackle anything you may throw at it for £230 plus a scavenged case/hdd etc:

Yes, get at least a NVIDIA GTX 750 which cost about 120€ and you're fine...

The CPU is fine, no idea what they're talking about there. I've run ED on a Pentium G (which is slower than your i3) and while it wasn't silky smooth it was very playable.

But as others have said, the graphics card needs replacing. That GeForce 610 is not intended for anything other than basic desktop work. A GeForce 750 or 750Ti is a good choice for that kind of machine, a 2GB GeForce 750 should cost less than £100 and it's a drop-in replacement for your existing card.

If replacing the graphics card, the main thing to watch out for is that the PC has a power supply with enough capacity to drive it - for instance, Nvidia recommends a minimum 500W power supply to power the GTX 760.

After all the nasty and despicable anti-consumer <insert swear word> that Microsoft tried to pull off when they first announced the XBone, I can't understand why anyone would even want to buy one.

..and I say that as a huge xbox 360 fan, still have mine and love it.

It would appear to me through my testing that your system "Should" be able to run the game at the medium or low settings. I think the main problem you would encounter is the GT 610. That video card is not made for higher end games. If you want to read here are my test results and my testing methodology I posted during beta, or gamma, I don't remember which. MARPATdroid's Testing fun.

What exactly about it won't run..? Do you get error..? Overheating..?

System seems fine, all be it a little light in the GFX card department, but it should run fine with mid to low settings..?

Recommended wattages on Nvidia website are crazy safe. With a power consumption of 170 watts, it's generally safe to use it with 350W PSU, and 400W is more than enough.
