I'm sure the mounting publicity had nothing to do with Twitter changing their stance.

Move along, nothing to see here folks I really would like the facepalm moment of some management reading this in their "morning press" ;-)
Seriously though, I think it's just an auto-defence mechanism. I mean first ban is from AI, the reply was probably from AI too until the case reached a human along with the appeal giving the reviewer a broader picture. The publicity around that perhaps expedited the actual human review, methinks.

Reviving this thread for another hilarious twitter fail. Someone is impersonating Netflix account and openly scamming people, it has been reported multiple times, still no response from Twitter and the scam is for all there to see (and fall for).
