E D Profiles etc for HCS voice packs. and voice attack.

Hey all,

Frontier Forums search function strikes out again.

I had some success getting my old man to use Dragon naturally speaking, but I know that there's a lot I don't know.

I can see we have a whole Sub forum devoted to VR, and they helped a lot, but now I'm lighting out into Voice Attack and the Astra Voice Pack.

Mostly I enjoy pushing buttons, but I've never been able to manage an SLF and my helm effectivily.
And I hear that ASTRA has a terrific database of interesting info as you move around the bubble.

So does anyone have any set up info?

Like example Profiles.
Like ways to get the HCS voice packs to read specific info from eddb.io (faction names etc)

I'm in the wait while Downloading the voicepack, but I'm not sure what I need to know.

What do you have for the ab initio user?

Brief summary, I use HCS ASTRA, however mine is a custom profile. The default HCS pack has everything you need to get up and running.

To have Voice attack link up with the game and give you audio and visual feedback on system states, fuel levels, factions, materials etc : Install EDDI http://edcodex.info/?m=tools&entry=346

If you wanna take it further, install EDMC - https://github.com/Marginal/EDMarketConnector/wiki This will track everything you do in game, then link it up to great websites like Inara https://inara.cz/galaxy-shipyard/

I've been using ED Discovery, as Market Connector wasn't doing the faction influences automagically for a while.
But I reinstalled Market Connector.
Looks like there's been a bit of an update.
Does Market Connector report influences now?

Sorry I'm ending up blogging the horror of a tricky install.

So there's this tedious video that takes you through setting up bindings in-game:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSt1icGhP8E

But I have a very, uh, idiosyncratic rig. It's a Frankenstein's monster of stuff.

So uh - you can take these keybindings from my cold dead fingers. (and Frontier please don't erase old Keybindings with updates).
Now especially with things labels on the Pods, I cannot change what they are. Radio is always M because thats the key that's there.

Ah sod it - I'll just tryimporting it what could go wrong.

Hmm. Well it sometimes recognises what I say. But it doesn't sem
to do anything. I think I'm going to have to go through and match these things up by hand.
And voice attack only expects 2 joysticks and I'm running four. I got one of those, uh like a PlayStation controller things, because trying to fly the ship and operate the camera needs more came ntrol.
