Newcomer / Intro E:D Seasons - how does it work?

I've played ED some years ago and got ED Horizons via the Frontier store back then. Now I see I could preorder ED Odyssey. But it seems there's a season between those - ED Beyond.

I assume I currently don't have access to things part of the the Beyond season. But will I have access to it, when I preorder ED Odyssey? I guess what I wanna is whether a season includes every season before that, or whether seasons have to be bought individually? (it doesn't seem possible got buy ED Beyond though).

Beyond was provided free to all Horizons owners. Nowadays all base game players have Horizons too, again, free.
