I was thinking about buying into one of the beta phases, but I can't do that until I know what currency the Elite: Dangerous store takes.

Can it take USD? Or am I going to have to somehow convert to pound sterling before purchasing?

Your bank on a transaction should convert currency for you

you dont have to, it will be converted when you buy it. virtual money doesnt really exist, converting it is easy.

What if I do the transaction using a Green Dot card? Will it still be automatic?

My bank had converted in euros during the kickstarter. It made a more important sum

i dont know what this card is but there's no reason it wouldnt.

i'm using my french "blue card" in euros and i have no trouble paying in $ or £

for you it will be almost like paying with USD.

PayPal will happily take and convert your money.
