Oh this went just great the last time with Team Siren.

At least this time they aren't sponsored by a Tabons company...

Also, of course there is a wage gap when the earning of the teams are based on the tournaments they win. That's just and there's no other way to put it. Only LoL has regulated wages because they want to keep tight control of their e-sports scene. What did they expect when they play in gender segregated tournaments of lower esteem instead of qualifying for the big leagues?

I don't take well on money grabbing PR schemes like this that prey on identity politics.

There is no wake up. This is a clear case of "git gud". Teams care about results, not genitals. Most managers in the e-sports scene are fairly young as well, so there is not a lot of conservatism either.

The e-sports scene is not joke. You do need to put A LOT of effort into it. Just as much as an actual athlete has to develop their physique actually.

Also, is the article comparing CS:GO female team earning to Dota 2 top tier team earnings or what? Talk about having non-trustworthy statistics as usual. As if the male CG:GO players earn the same as Dota 2 players and a universal average holds any value as a stat.

No, I mean the hygiene product. And yes, they did sponsor a female e-sports team that was supposed to "crush the male dominated scene" in League of Legends. It happened a few years back.

They didn't even qualify to Tier 2 of teams. Purely due to sexism of course.

I am gender-blind when it comes to games.

I get told "But I'm a girl!!! ;)"... I respond with "What do you want, a medal?"

Then I finish my game of Airmech or whatever, and pay no attention to the gender of my opponent/teammate.

I honestly don't give a damn.

Yeah, I've seen some of those female 'gamers' on Twitch. Shaking their butt in front of camera, and pronouncing names of gullible horny idiots for donations.

As someone who suffered years of abuse/bullying I get a bit fed up that it's only when women or non whites are involved that people get off their butts to do something about "abuse"...ALL abuse is bad, waiting for a certain subsection to complain loud enough before doing anything is just another kick on my bruised and battered body and increases my feelings self loathing and depression :(....just my two penneth.

I was thinking the same but then, they only do whats needed for clicks. Their male counter parts are no better really so its girls and women prospering in the environment and working for it. They do what they can, I have my own opinion but I wont talk em down.
