Eagle cargo bay upgradable?

Hi Guys,

Just switched from my sidewinder to my new eagle ship (received through beta version). I was grumbling to myself about the sidewinder only having 4 unit cargo hold and was shocked to find out that the eagle only has 2! Hmmm...Can I upgrade the eagle's cargo?

I don't remember the class of the Eagle's cargo hold, but I assure you that in an Eagle, you can't have more cargo than in a Sidewinder. It's a light fighter after all.

Yes you can upgrade it from class 1 to class 2 which gives you a whopping 4 cargo space.

The Eagle isn't really supposed to be a great trading ship

It is a decent bounty hunter though.

You can actually swap your basic discovery scanner for a 2t cargo hold.

I think you'd be able to get 6, wouldn't you? By losing the shield generator

I didn't knew that Eagle's hold can be upgraded to 4 tonns. Neat! That means I can get 100 000 + cr courier missions for a fast deliveries. And Eagle is a fast ship. Sidey nice too but Eagle... just love it.

Without shields you can max out until 14 tons. The Eagle has 3 internals 3, 2 and 1 Class which means you can get 1x 8t in class 3 (for the shield), 1x 4t for class 2 and 1x 2t for the scanner.

The standard internal compartment is class 2, so it'll fit 4. The discovery scanner compartment is a class 1, so it'll fit 6. The shield generator is also available if you're feeling brave, but, 6 is the normal upper limit on an eagle.

Well, I've seen (and killed) quite a few NPC Eagle pirates, who were running without shields. Foolish

Yep I decided to get into my Eagle asap and was lucky enough to get a 4 space cargo bay at the same spot. It's only 3.5k credits or so, so well worth upgrading (2.5k for an upgrade over the 2 slotter).
