Newcomer / Intro Eagle fighter ship?

Hi Guys,

i bought the mercenary edition of Elite: Dangerous and now im wondering where the eagle fighter ship is docked(is it the right word? ).
Do i have to search for it?

It should be near where you started. Open up your galaxy map and you should see a blue ship symbol next to a nearby system (or the one you're in.) then open system map and the same symbol will be next to the station with your Eagle.
