Eagle pvp group

I would like to know if any one knows of an eagle pvp group i could join or if there are any groups dedicated to small ahip combat.

I ask as i love flying small ships like the eagle, sidewinder, viper etc but in regular open play its rare to see any one flying one who isnt a begginner.

I have searched on youtube and i cant find much of anything with eagle vs eagle pvp or alike, there is archons fight with an eagle that looks like it was loads of fun but thats about it, unless the video is 3 years old and its because there were hardly any ships back then and things were.. different lol.

Its a shame because i find them so much fun. Granted if you fight an fdl in one you will be there a VERY long time and may run out of ammo synthesised or not. And well... every one flys an fdl.

So i was hoping there are others out there.. like me. In an eagle. So i could get into some awsome dog fighting action and not be there 3 days wittleing down the shields on some fat fdl.

I dont want to hear about CQC! Just, no.

Not necessarily, depends on the rules of the group.

OP, I've seen someone post here about a Sidewinder combat group. It was a while ago though and I can't remember any details I'm afraid.

You could make it an Eagle only, "run what you brung" competition by structuring it as a competition ladder where the more wins you get the higher on the ladder you go, loses bring you down a rung. We used to do this same system a hundred years ago on AOL with Falcon 3.0 and dialup connections.

The rules are simple: Each Commander challenges others to a 1v1 battle, the winner then advances up a step. Each week the ladder is updated and the rankings adjusted. You can only challenge those above you and you get his/her spot if you're victorious. But isn't this sort of what CQC tried to do, and that's dead, isn't it?

I've thought for a while that a full wing of highly specialized and engineered sidewinders could take on any solo ship in the game. And it'd be a lot of fun too!

I don't know if those guys are still active - at least they were at the end of last year. They are (or were) dedicated to eagle wing-pvp fights and they really know what they do. You would need two or three friends to join into the competition with you own wing though. As far as I know they don't do training but they host wing vs. wing fights and that darn pretty well. They use vanilla eagles. No engineering and everyone flys the same setup. It's pure flying skill what it is about.

I'm not much into pvp (not against it either) but I love my eagle and fly it more than any other ship. It's also the only one where I have more than one (Combat, Exploration/Racing, Teabagging, all engineered)

I'd join any tournament, if there isn't to much paperwork and obligations included.

May I respectfully refer you to this thread?

Stock Sidey fights mainly, although we also started to give the Eagle an airing (spacing?). They can last surpisingly long, or finish very quickly (usually, when I'm fighting and get confused with the pips :rolleyes:). Otherwise, any ship we can agree on and everything just for fun and hang the rebuy. I would, though, advise against using mines in a RES when the cops are around....

Today's meet-up is at 18:00 IGT in HIP 72235 CURRIE HORIZONS. Make sure to grab an ARC discord invitation from Frank, dayrth or Themadoll for voice comms.

I probably won't join in today (or be rather late, work is interfering again).

Aedc has an internal stock viper PvP league. We fight for fun and bragging rights. Basic rules are stock viper kittted out only with the modules available from the local station. Its good for change of pace.
