Eagle secondary location - without a shipyard

I thought i was lucky when I arrived and saw my eagle less then 7LY away.

AIABIKO 38.5LS

then to find it in a station without a shipyard so its unaccessible.

See who says FD don't have a sense of humor, the location is a star! :(

Not there.

The System Map on your left-side screen. The correct station will have a green ship-looking icon above it.

If it really is the star, it's time to delete your save and start over.

It's really a star. I have my Eagle exactly in the same place. Reminds me of a Star Wars novell, where some jedi hid the ship right into star... shall we use the force? :D

Correction: I did like cmdr Durant Carlyle suggested, and actually found my Eagle. So, we should use not the force but the deductive method :)

So, basically, if the info says that Eagle is inside a star, check the system map and follow cmdr Durant Carlyle's advice - fly to the station that has ship mark over it.

Don't rush to conclusions - try to work it out first, without getting into forums straight away :) It's part of the charm in ED imho.

You are being shown a system name, where your ship resides. To find out the exact station in the system, look for the icon in the system map.

well the system I am in has 8 different shipyards, it would be nice if I didn't have to check all of them.

Firstly Kids?, Im sitting in the system after visiting every station here and now after re downloading all game files its in exactly the same place

I am an alpha backer, I dont seem to have any rewards options or secondary ship? I did much around with my name thinking you can have multiple characters. Does anyone know if puting another name in commander borks the system?

It's even simpler than that. It will be waiting at the main station in that system. No need to even deduce or fly to them all. It's pretty much (un)common sense.

Yes! Thx DrBo, got it. I think alot of the confusion is coming from the distance shown in the location menu (at least mine was). Ship locations was showing 97 ls, which was nothing at all, not even the star.
