Eagle wing tips - what are those things?

High all, on a hunch and because I got bored with rares trading for a bit I today decided to detour to the system where my Freagle has been sitting in the hangar since I started playing the game.
Got it out of storage, decked it out with whatever I could fit in there, (had to redo because of the laser-not-firing bug), and went out for a test ride.

Love this ship! Combine this maneuverability with speed of Cobra, shields of Viper and hardpoints of Asp and we get a Fer-de-Lance? Hint hint? :D

But question: what are those things at the tips of the Eagles wings? Should be lasers of course, just for the looks, but obviously they aren't. Look like some strange oil burning torches or something...

I've wondered this as well.

They're handles, of course. Because most of the Eagle is a spacegoing wheelbarrow for the purpose of holding an Eagle pilot's great big brass ones...

Those are weird, - I've stared at 'em since premium beta almost wishing some ships had fixed hardpoints, just because I really want to see lasers coming out of them.

I'm pretty sure they're sensor arrays. You can see those on a quite a bit of ships, like the Viper, where the sensor are sticking out between the front "fangs".
