In this I will be talking about the positives and negatives as well as ideas for the future of PC's production.
This is covering what we have had access to test and give feedback to in the early bird alpha so far.
Some of these are already expected to change, others are asking too much...
Either way, feedback is helpful.
Paths
User friendly
Visually satisfying
Accessible to many areas and tight spots
Easy to make interesting shapes
Things I'd Like To See:
-Ability to create larger/wider paths with the UI (Or drawing/paint bucket mechanism).
-Making paths attempt to snap to modular building gaps where we might be trying to make a path through.
-Having paths interact with modular buildings differently than they do on their own allowing for easier interior and exterior path layout.
-Having path presets to go down/up multiple levels using paths. (Spiraling paths? Flights? Elevators?)
Modular Building
Great system
Easy for beginners, complex for advanced users
Freedom to add objects outside and in, snapping to any surface
Amazing visuals
Things I'd Like To See:
-Ability to combine and separate buildings
-Click and drag to create a wall/roof (hold shift to expand the height/width)
-Allow pieces to snap to a smaller or larger grid on the UI for finer detailing
-Expand on your great signage system letting us type normal text onto signs and create ride signs with different fonts and using objects and flashy sign backgrounds to theme them.
-If somehow the camera knew it was indoors
Flatrides:
Looks stunning and realistic
Setup is easy through the steps and making changes is straightforward.
Engineering/mechanics are great and rides are fun to watch.
Guests waiting in line/entering/exiting ride is great
Things I'd Like To See:
-Music control to alter the themes/playlist (Ability to drop short MP3s into folder for access or download from PC website)
-Ride control to make each one unique/more/less intense
-Changing the cars/themes/colors on flatrides (i.e. Rocketships instead of planes).
-Personally I would like to see the hot air balloons swinging freely from their top connection points
Short segment about guests
Guests are amazing and still a work in progress but here are some things I hope to see in the future:
-Groups of guests stopping to interact with other groups of guests.
-Guests stopping to look at rides/scenery/building design
--The guest traffic flow system is amazing to watch. I hope it is still in progression because I would love to see people going even further to line themselves up in a clear spot without running into each other and slowing way down. Rarely, sometimes two people will split up to let one person go through then they will join back together, again... amazing!
I hope this is helpful in the future production of PC!
Thanks for making the game we all have been dreaming of.
