Earning a Ferrari?

Thanks Koma, i am trying to learn, thats why i need to upgrade my weapons. Every bit helps eh?

I'm sure you can visit some random stations, preferably in systems that are not visited often and buy a G3 Dominator and some G3 weapons.
But if you stay with the team and you are doing only the Low CZ - you can do it even in G1 equipment

If you really cannot be fused...
Equip a ship with dumbfires, go in a Low CZ, pick a side and kill the enemy reinforcements at drop points.
Wait till the CZ finishes, Supercruise out, then back in and repeat 9 more times.
But the former option is much funnier that the latter and it will help you building some combat skills

I suck at combat, and i want to improve my weapon to get better at combat, so i would like to Earn a Ferrari to improve some weapons. However i need 10 combat surface encounters.

Can someone tell me if taking part in a surface CZ whilst in your ship counts (Firing missiles as the enemy drop). I have done 2 of these and been on the winning side both times, but my codex is still showing '0' on the combat zones?

Also do you have to go through Frontline or can you just fly into a surface CZ, pick a side and do as i mentioned above?

don't know if it has been said but doing them with your ship isn't going to help you get better, even if you acquire better gear (or actually sidegrades not upgrades).

If you are willing to, shot me a friend invite in game, Cmdr name as in the forum, i might be able to help you out with those 10 missions

What weapons are you using? I'm not great at combat but I've won high CZ's on foot with a plasma rifle (I forget the name of it), 2 shots and they're down no matter the difficulty of the CZ.

EDIT: Just saying, it might be a change of weapons you need rather than an upgrade

I've no idea tbh. I have over 20 Ground CZs completed thru Frontline (and my Codex says so) and she's still locked for me
I looked it up on Reddit and others are having the same issue. Might be bugged.

(Also I thought this post was gonna be about the Mamba. Oh well.)

well the ar 50 - is absolutely rubbish so forget that one, the plasma pistol is great,l6 (rocket launcher) is perfected for multiple targets,the grenades ( there are 3-4 types : check keys binds) but to use them you first need to use the sheild killer then a normal frag.and remember you have a sheild on/off. off = non combat on-combat

Don't go gunho and run at your target, Stay behind cover,move to the edges of cover and shoot.or use the rooftops.

You don't really need to be good to win a ground CZ. As long as your side wins, you can die as many times as you like. Some CZs seem to favor one side for some strange reason, so, choose carefully. The player can swing the result hard if they're good/well equipped but it's not a requirement. Also, last time I did it only Low CZs counted which is even easier.
