Earning money after 1.6

Hey all, just wondering what you are doing for money after 1.6. I primarily did Robigo runs, trading, and bounty hunting before 1.6 but with Robigo gone and NPC difficulty much higher I've gone back to trading. Best I can do is about 8 million an hour.

Has anyone found anything more lucrative than this? I know 8 mil an hour is nothing to sneeze at but I was doing 20 an hour from Robigo.

All the systems similar to Robigo - hundreds of LY from the bubble - still produce missions at extreme credit values. Robigo itself is "down" due to UAs, but the others aren't.

It's all dependent on states however, so keep that in mind.

Curently im doing A-B-A 4k trade rout in cutter with 12-15mil in hour depends on number of interdictions, not only pirates npc but pp agents. However there are routs then A-B destination is near 4k,and B-A is not worth or not profitable at all,so the interdhictions are very rare or none when you fly no cargo.

You still doing slaves? My go-to route has slipped states and it's not particularly profitable anymore (400 ton 'conda netting about 8 mil an hour).

8 million an hour is awesome, nothing to sneeze at for sure.

I usually do 1-2 million an hour depending on the activity (mining on the low end, bounty hunting on the high.)

Find a route from a Zemina Torval Control system to somewhere not a control; imperial slaves contracting staff should still be reduced in cost due to the powerplay stats. :)

Missions (once you gain faction rep) can sometimes offer some value and you can always stuff imperial slaves contracting staff into the hold to round out the payload.

PM that route please

Money count nothing.
I am not really on top-tier welth. But with 20.000.000 in cash you can sleep well.
Right after 2.1 I returned from two month out in the void.
Now running my next project to polish up my alignment with Alliance because it was at -3.
Once this is done I will possibly return to Empire space to visit my old friends there.
And then mdaybe I will get the next turn to void to become Pioneer.
So my plans are set to keep me busy until Season 3 will hit the space.

Credits per hour sounds more like a second job than a game.
I bounty hunt in RES in my Cobra. It's nice earning the bigger bounties, but I honestly enjoy the combat more than the earning. I get by earning enough to upgrade gradually and keeping space credits for insurance. Running on about 3mil at the moment.

It does seem that many play it to upgrade ships and make as much money as possible. Good for them, but it's not my cup of tea.

I'm in Elite for the long-haul. After having done the mission grind to put myself in an Anaconda and rank up with the Federation I decided to reset my game save and am now in a self-imposed 'Iron Man' mode. Not being a slave to the almighty credit has been awesome.

Much of the compelling game-play that has been written into the game has been designed for people who are 'mobile' and not running missions out of a single station like Robigo where the game play gets extremely repetitive.

My advice would be to quit playing for credits and to get the bigger ships. See what else is out there.

NOTE: I'm not dissing people for wanting to make the easy credits. As indicated in my first sentence I've been there and done that. If that is how you want to roll, then roll!
