Earth Like Moon

I recently found two of those within a few jumps of each other. Here and Here . Both orbiting the 6th planet in the system.
I had heard of others finding some but never saw one myself until a couple days ago.
Still looking for one that is a moon of a gas giant.

I've seen one 2 years ago, ringed ELW around a ringed gg... didn't note the location unfortunately. :(
Haven't seen one ever since.

Just found an earth like world as a moon to a high metal content planet very pleased with myself

Funnily enough, I've just found one of those, too. I've found about a hundred Untagged ELWs, and three of them were moons. I'm yet to find a ringed ELW, though, and the stats show they're about as common as moons: The ELW database stats summary shows 1.77% of ELWs are ringed, while 1.72% of ELWs are moons (though some of those "moons" orbit around a planetary-orbit star, so technically they're "planets", even though the stellar forge classifies them as "moons"). All three of my moons were orbiting HMC non-terraformable planets.

It's just my bad luck to not yet find a ringed ELW. I've never found a system with more than one ELW in it yet, either (either binary co-orbiting or separately orbiting), even though binaries and multiples are 3.3% of the total.

And of course, no-one has yet found an example of that incredibly improbable occurrence: a naturally-occurring pair of an ELW moon orbiting an ELW planet. It should be theoretically possible (because numerous ELWs have terraformable moons), but it has never been seen and reported on the forums; you'd need a large super-Earth-sized one for the parent planet and a small sub-Mars-sized one for the moon. I'm not even sure there are very many artificial (terraformed) examples of such things, though I seem to recall seeing a couple of them.

MattG and I used to look into that holy grail of an ELW+ELM pair, but I've since given up, as I think they are currently impossible. The reason for that is that while testing outside the game whether such a configuration would be possible, I've found out that the temperatures of atmospheric moons are bugged - see here, confirmed by FD. So, a configuration where such a pair would be possible by the Forge would end up with either the parent would-be-ELW being too hot, or the would-be-ELM becoming too cold.
Perhaps they might pop up once the bug is fixed, but personally, I don't expect FD to touch that before we get atmospheric flight.

Well you won't find it with that sort of attitude! :)

I don't think it's impossible, but I do think that bug has made it expectionally difficult now. One day...

Now I'm on the hunt for binary ELMs of a gas giant. Because Chiggy. *sigh* my list was already big enough, it didn't need more.

Nah, in my experience, if I'm looking for something specific, I rarely find it. If I'm just going for something else, only then do I find the rare stuff. To me, this worked so far for ringed ELWs, binary ELWs, ELMs around various parents... So, no way will I be going out looking specifically for that ELW+ELM pair! :p

Yeah I'm not looking for that either. Not anymore :D

Congrats OP :)
