Earth like world orbiting a Neutron star

I just found this planet orbiting a Neutron star. I wonder what the sun rise would look like? I wonder how long it will be until I can land and see for myself?

It does seem strange. Could a Neutron star really provide enough light to support an earth like world?

They give off plenty of heat, but mostly in x-rays, which really makes it even weirder that there are so many with ELWs around them.Constant bombardment of x-rays isn't exactly healthy to oxygen-breathing life as we know it...

Maybe it's life .. as we don't know it .. [ link ]

True :) But as long as it's oxygen-dependant life (and it most likely would be on an ELW), it would be susceptible to cancer (oxygen is a terrible thing to breathe, really :)), and when you combine that with high radiation, well... :)

Personally I find the few ELWs I found around less that 200 million old T-Tauris odd. That isn't enough time for them to develop, is it ?

I keep finding ammonia worlds with no actual ammonia in the atmosphere. Didn't somebody find a black hole older than the universe? I do love the games quirks :p

They cleared up the stuff that was older than the universe a patch or two ago. I went and checked the 18byo star I'd taken a picture of and it was about 10byo instead.

There are Earthlikes with no water in the atmosphere either. It all has to do with temperature and pressure. If it's cold enough the ammonia mostly stays in liquid form.

The older BH could also have been a primordial BH that got captured by th Milky Way.

I for one wouldn't be that keen to up sticks and re-locate to an earthlike planet orbiting a Neutron star. I don't think factor 50 sun tan cream would really cut the mustard.
