Earth stations have no commodities for sale

Hi folks,

Just arrived for my second trip to Sol and have visited all three Earth stations. Nothing for sale apart from Hydrogen Fuel and Scrap! No RARES and no precious commodities to sell at any price.

M Gorbachev Station though is worth a visit to see the palm trees and greenery under glass houses in the docking area. Very pretty.

I thought sol imports most of there goods since they are all dried up. Kind of sad Earth can not maintain any resources. Guess they would starve if it was not for the other systems bringing food and goods in.

IIRC Sol is a 'service economy' system and therefore it's only economy is trying to sell you a new bank account, a Ponzi scheme, money of a Nigerian prince, or cheaper ship insurance, which aren't on the commodities list... hang on... that last one is a good idea! Oi Frontier! Could service economies sell us cheaper insurance?

SOL has millions of tonns worth of superconductors. I don't understand why some think it is a bad system for making money. I made over a hundred mill just from trading out of SOL. You can't deplete the stock fast enough.

Forget Earth, plenty of other planets in SOL to make good money.

In FE2, I think Sol produced some food and luxury goods.
Right now, the only thing they produce is refinery products and biowaste.

Do you sell them to systems that have Super Trains?

Sol definitely can print money, just not the stations around Earth. As stated they're service economies. They import everything, and the only reason they have exports is, well, look at them. It's waste products. More likely their main export is government and tourists (waiting for passenger update, waiting for passenger update).
