Easier Shop Themes?

Would it be easier to have just one instance of every kind of shop, and have different facades to facilitate the differences in themes rather than having several versions of the same kind of shop?

It would... For a casual player. But not for those who really want to get into the depth of theming and such.

If you just want to use one specific shop for your park, then you have the option to do so. But that shouldn't limit the more creative minds.

Pre-themed shops are in the works, notice how the "shops" tab is currently locked out? you know the one that is not the facilities button? I hope they give us some in the next alpha [up]

Guys, I think what he meant is that currently each facility has 3 variations (ie. bathrooms in brick, sandstone, and standard). When really, why not have one bathroom and put any facade you want on it. No need to have the variations when the facades cover them up anyways.

I agree! Altough it doesnt hurt to have 3 versions, its quite the same as having 6 stagelights in different color. I rather have just 1 with selectable color. This is the same, i rather have 1 shop, with customizable front.

Especially later in the game, when we have a lot of items, it might be way easyer to browse for a certain item.

I can see 2 variations of each shop. 1 to be used in building with the facades. 1 as a stand alone building shaped as the item that's being sold (RCT3 style).

It would also be useful when the amount of themed buildings increase. What if the final product had 10 different building styles? Does that mean they need 10 different instances of the same shop? That sounds like more trouble than it's worth. I like the idea of colorable lights too, and even adjustable intensity.

The only limits would be the amount of themed buildings the game has. One shop + Many overlaying facades = many different themed variations available to that shop.
