(A Work In Progress)
Greetings Traveller! And welcome to the Eastborro Zoo! The project started as a small farm owned by Oswald McLatter in 1994. He had a passion for animals and had quite a collection of cool and unusual creatures. For some time he held the title of the ‘Animal King of Maryland.’ He sadly passed away in 2009, and the land was sold to the town to build an apartment complex. The builders stumbled upon his farm, and notified the town about it. They funded the construction of a zoo, showcasing all of his animals, plus more, in the fashion he would have dreamed of!
So far, the zoo has a small Australian section at the entrance with a mixed habitat of Wallabies, Kangaroos, and an Emu, as well as a Cassowary habitat on the right hand side. To the left there is a North American section with Cougars, Red Foxes, Armadillos, and Rattlesnakes. In the opposite direction there is the Children’s Zoo with Porcupines, Aldabra Tortoises, and Prairie Dogs. Following the right-side trail you’ll find the Asian Expedition. Currently only housing an under-construction Komodo Dragon habitat.
