Why do people prefer easy mode to open play?

I mean solo is nice for just relaxing and not having to deal with people

Engineers are easy mode in solo makes solo far too easy so by ignoring the engineer grind, the game stays fresh and one doesnt have to deal with the kiddy brigade who just wanna shoot anything that moves ^

seems this is a dictatorship and we cannot discuss easy mode vs open play!
Anyone like to take bets on how many posts before close? ..... 20 ? Any advance on 20?
As someone who plays open 100%: Open isn't 'Manly Difficult Mode' and Solo/PG isn't 'easy mode'. They are both pretty much the same level. The only difference is a tiny chance at meeting a 'griefer', but anyone with a remote understanding of their ship will see it coming from miles away and evade easily, no matter how drunk at the time.

Yes, it's so difficult and so heroic to click an option in a menu. Very difficult. Solo Mode menu option is 2px bigger, making it much easier to click.
Edit: forum doesn't like the face-palm emoji.
Maybe you'd like to read / necro one of the many threads that have discussed this at extreme length....then again I get the feeling you don't really want a discussion....just salt.
By the amount salty tears the OP sheds he really needs some new salt.
