Can this module be looked into? Currently it really does nothing and has even received a nerf in that it no longer destroys missiles from what I've read.

If this is the case and y'all trying to make things as real as possible. There is systems that self fire upon detection of threat.

Also, missiles run out of propellant IRL if your going for realism.
 
Thinking of the ECM for the past few hours. Perhaps it should also function as a way to destabilize interdiction attempts. Each EMP would give the defending player another 25% of bars.

This function would give cargo runners or less agile players another method of defence.

This system would introduce more interesting game play, as of right now the proper response for interdiction is to submit and fight or submit, turn and boost out while high waking.

It would also bring more engineering options.

A defending ship would also have to choose how to best outfit himself. This option can help with variation from the usual chaff point, defense or , shield boost.

ECM will disrupt missile tracking, and most missiles will not find their way back on target before they lose turning ability and wander off elsewhere.

I see it all the time when NPC's fire off an ECM when a board of Packhounds are following them. All my missiles wandering off, never to return.
Or usually end up hitting a clean ship and making me wanted. Lol
