Economic Tools For Management

I believe that RCT3 kind of lacked great economic tools for people who want them.

It would be great to visually see demand and supply graphs for each ride to help see the best price for the ride.

I would also like to see a total revenue graph taking this into account to help see what what price you make the most revenue. Rather then this being given away from the start maybe every time you change the price a new point is added to the graph. This would also work really well when placing stalls. It might be nice to demand change slightly seasonally, over time as the ride gets older, or if you re brand it.

With the marketing the choices in planet coaster It would be nice to have about 20 different marketing choices that are different and affect different areas of the park. These should also be completely customizable as well as set.

It may also be nice to see a life cycle of a roller coaster on a graph to help tell you when old rides need to be replaced or re branded. This is when it would be cool to have a specific marketing option to increase the sales of an old ride.

Moreover it would be nice to use a graph mapping the different rides you have and there particular target audience (such as a quadrant with, families, children, adult and teenagers. then on the quadrant all your rides are automatically placed so you can see what kind of rides you are lacking to create a balanced portfolio of rides. The same could apply for themes.

Id like to hear your thoughts and any economic tools that could also be implemented, im also adding to the list as i go along.

I really like the life cycle of a roller coaster idea. Maybe if a coaster gets too old, you would have 3 options; Replace the track, have your safety rating go down, or tear down the ride. This would be cool for wooden coasters because you could turn them into RMC coasters when they get old and rebrand them. I also like the target audience thing. This way you can find out how much diversity your park has. I think it would be cool if we had the option to have your peeps buy a ticket into your park and not pay for each individual ride. And we could also charge peeps for Fast Pass Bands so they can skip the line in every ride. That would make the game more realistic. I also think that food and souvenirs should play a bigger role in our park's income.

The idea on price change sounds nice to me, it can be a very simple menu where the ride name is shown, and next to it for example green up arrows, or red down arrows, 1 arrow is slightly increase, and 2 or 3 arrows means a higher change is needed.

Lifetime of rides is nice, but i think that should be an option in the menu. ( i would use it i think )

I like your idea! [happy]

But most theme parks today (at least the ones I know) take money from their visitors at the entrance and maybe at shops and restaurants but not rides. Helpful would be in this case statistics showing the number of visitors of a ride, not the amount of money you get.

Sorry to wander off topic!

There are some very good ideas in this thread, but from now on can we drop the term "Peeps." when refering to Planet Coaster.

It would be better if we treated our latest creations as Guests, like Joel and I have suggested in a recent new thread. Hope you all agree.

Sorry, force of habit ;)
