In the current state there are a problem in game economics – there is no sink for money. You have many options for make money but you have no obligations to spend it.
But there are several features which not implemented but they obviously should be.
1. Docking fees.
It’s strange that docking fees are absent however it is the main source of money for stations. In my opinion they should be levied by approving docking request (thus going to transactions section like new issue similar to fine) and paid automatically upon landing. (if there is no enough money to pay it you get the fine). Size of docking fees should be in my opinion – 50 Cr for small ship, 300 Cr for medium and 2000 Cr for large one.
2. Maintenance.
It is VERY strange that maintenance of large heavy truck cost you nothing. But it should be not!
The point is that each module of ship and hull itself should wear and degrade other mileage and time.
For example:
-FSD should wear every high jump degrading to 10% in (perhaps) 600 H-Jumps for A-grade, 1200 for B, 800 for C,D,E.
- Life support, Power plant, Power distributor – etc. wear per time of actual flying/supercruising.
- Shield generators, SB – per time shields up in fly.
- Hull – per time flying and triple amount the shields are not raised.
- Weapons wear every shot a small amount.
And so on.
Then module is turned off it is not wear.
And maintenance of damaged / worn out unit should be the same and be of such amount that maintenance of totally worn out unit should take a significant portion of it actual cost. (And maintenance fee should be obviously included in rebuy cost)
And of course anyone can use AFMU for maintenance purpose
