Economy and building

Hello there. I never played previous Elite(so please don't be rude if my questions could appear trivial ) , but I am a fan of X series by Egosoft.

I'd like to know more about economy and building. Is possible to build complex and manage or we can just trade goods from existing station?

How the team intend to balance economy with this HUGE galaxy?Every system is isolated from an economycal point of view? Can we interfer?

tl;td You cannot build, nor control factories or empire. Players (aggregate) will expand to new systems that will then create new trading locations. Players, along with the simulation will also be able to influence trade route and prices.
