ED and Oculus Rift a big disappointment

The sense of immersion playing ED in the Rift is so great, that when my ship exploded I had a momentary, vague sense of anticlimax because I wasn't *actually* dead....

I know some people who know some people who know some people who can make that a reality for you if you'd prefer? lol

Well a 'hardcore' mode wouldn't be much fun either if you got picked off by other players and such.

That said, it would be nice if the 'eject' sequence thing was better, like I don't know some kind of cocoon or such, springing up around you as ship explodes and using a mini fsd to get you to safety, you'd hear fsd drive whirring up and such, maybe only able to see vague lights, and then you would hear like some docking/capturing mechanism from arriving at last station, and get the continue/insurance prompts?

This should perhaps have an option "Use long death sequence" or somesuch? but yeah would be cool.

Agreed. Something almost dream like (because you'll be concussed by the explosion of your ship perhaps) would be cool instead of the instant respawn.
 
You could always code a tazer into the game that goes off on ship .....like maybe use voice attack to set it off or something?
