The PS4 has second screen function so I hope they will make use of this so no additional app is needed. But I am not holding my breath..

The android app only works on certain Sony phones and tablets for 2nd screen/remote play (z3 or above for phone)

The windows/mac app is for Windows 8 or above and is a direct download from Sony....

Not sure about Mac requirements but you can ignore the PC requirements as it works fine on my dual core potatoe pc

Does ED support second screen? If so, how? I've seen 2nd screen used in racing games as a rear view mirror, for example.

I could see it being useful for the holographic menu screens to the left and right of the pilot, especially on a touch tablet. However, I've not read anything about second screen support in ED. If that's the case, my second and third screen will be open to 3rd party apps

It's only remote play that's been confirmed and I really couldn't see the second screen through the remote play app being used.

I tend to watch the footy on one screen and ed tradepad pro app on my phone

From what I understand, texting between players is the main reason. Consoles unlike pc's can't be modded with things like in game changes like voice communication or commands. And remote playing on ones tablet at work or out on the patio while bird watching or spying on that young neighbor girl. Allows one to travel longer distances without actually sitting at ones console.

Personally, I would prefer to utilize the conference feature on my unlimited cell phone plan, thus no need to text. I mean, if I have a free hand, I'd rather be holding a beer or a joint (where various laws permit), rather then trying to text. Though the latter makes for some interesting visuals through out the color spectrum. There only visable to you and not your uploads to...

are there any apps that show the galaxy map in real time with your game? I would love to be able to search other routes while going to a destination without messing up my current route. unless there are easier ways in game to navigate that this noob has not figure out yet.
