ED as primary (and only) monitor

Has anyone tried it? I've got Direct mode to work but, it renders to the main monitor too, which I'd guess has to be more taxing on the GPU.

I use Virtual Desktop (free awesome program) so I may give it a go later today.

Not a bad experiment because Direct mode is suppose to be better but it takes the Hz of your primary monitor. If you Rift was your primary then surely it would be 75hz right? For Windows there is this...

Direct isn't supposed to take the refresh rate of the primary. I use direct quite a bit in other game and it works great. Something is just a bit wrong with the way ED handles it.

I find it look more blocky with direct mod.

Virtual Desktop didn't work but ED did. Much faster than before (with dual monitor) and it looked great.

Yeah, after reading a bit more I see that the app for Windows to use Rift only works in Extended mode with defeats the purpose.

Yup. Great app though, love using it for 3D movies and web surfing.

One thing I noticed was that ED looked a LOT better IMO when the DK2 was the only monitor. I don't know why but, things were brighter, bolder, smoother and faster. Weird but, if I can find a OS app that works I'll be playing this way. I'd recommend at least trying it to see what I'm talking about.
