I wasn't aware there was one - I believe it is only the Kickstarter backers that get a lifetime upgrade pass unless I am wrong?

if you buy the upgrade you get a boxed copy of the game that contains a DVD and not a lot else.
as for the season pass (expansion pass) this was limited and is unlikely to be sold again, if it is then it will be on the store when the first paid expansion comes out and that is not expected for a year or more.
