ED Commander Deluxe edition pre-ordered but only able to play ED basic (non-horizons)?

Ok, so I pre-ordered the ED Commander Deluxe edition for my son and after initially linking it to my existing (PC) account, I unlinked and eventually added a new frontier account for my son.

But, it appears that the only version he can play is the basic ED version and non of the horizons content is playable......so where's the Commander Deluxe (digital pre-order) edition I bought??

Anybody else had similar issues and what's the fix?

This might have been a fluke and may not be much help, but I had the same problem when I first downloaded the game and set up an account for my son. After realizing that the Horizon Sidewinder was not available for his profile I created a profile for him with the standard Sidewinder. I then waited a few hours, logged in as him, went to the options menu and selected "Clear Save" to delete that save/pilot. It then allowed me to create a new profile for him and the Horizon Sidewinder was an option to select. I hope it works for you like it did for me, and good luck.

Sorry, I missed that part in the original post. I only have the PS4 version and did not attempt to link it to any previous versions, so we may have dissimilar problems. From what I understand it is not cross platform, but he may have been able to link his PS4 account to his existing Frontier account.

I bought the Legendary Edition (From Amazon) and am wondering the same thing. IE: The game is telling I have to purchase Horizons.

I thought the Legendary Edition included the Horizons Season Pass?!?!?!

Hi just to confirm, it's linking my son's new frontier account to the ED Commander Edition I preordered. It's nothing to do with cross platform play (which doesn't and may never exist).

I may try to clear save as mentioned above.

It does, I bought the legendary edition and I'm landing on planets and doing planet missions just fine.
