ED Crashes when changing controls!

Help!

I'm trying to reconfigure my X-52 and the instant I try to change a keybind the game crashes. I've tried various buttons on my X-52 and it crashes each time, then tried to assign a button on the kb and again, it crashes each time.

Please, what do I do?

The same stuff started happening to me with 1.3 too. There is a workaround i found.. but you wont like it.

If you make your custom.binds file read only it will stop crashing but every time you launch the game you need to rebind your keys.
