ED fails to connect steam account

Hello.

I have ED for years now without much of an issues. Today Game launcher failed to connect to my steam account and it is repeatedly failing to do so.
In lack of better subforum, I posted it here. I could apreciate suggestions. I also posted on steam, but as per usual, nobody watches discussions there.

I have the same problem today. yesteday no problem at all. Been playing for years via steam. It wont even let me link the account again

lol for what? ED is not subscription based, neither is Steam.

steam maybe updating its client
often a steam log off as well as a frontier logout will resolve the issue
else some may need to relink accounts if problems persist
if steam is updating its licences that may take an hour or so b4 you can play or is having other issues
