Has it been said that we will name our own planets if we find them first? That would seem to go against what they have done so far with not naming ships...

Good luck with that with probably over 170,000 rocky bodies to search; and that only in human occupied space...

As soon as they announced Horizons, my thoughts were:
- Find a planet
- Discover it so that I have my name on it
- Use it as my log off point from now on

Same thing I thought, who needs stations whne we have so many planets and moons to call home
Me too. Let's cooperate. I have lots of bio-waste.
My nearest ELW is about 800 ly from the edge of Known Space. I'd like to call it home (err, when atmospheric landings are a thing), but it is just too far away.
You guys really need to stop eating those Food Cartridges.
