ED: Horizons/Beta Discount Length

I can't really seem to find out anywhere, so here it is:

The 15 USD (10 GPD, 12.5 EUR) "loyalty" discount on ED: Horizons is for people who already own the core game. How long will this discount last for? Is it only for pre-ordering the expansion before it's released? Should I run to the Frontier Store now to buy it? I would like to take a "wait-and-see" approach with the expansion as my video game budget is pretty low. I just want to wait as long as possible (in order to see what other announcements are made) to pre-order and still get this 15 USD discount. If I could comfortably spend the 45 bucks right now I totally would as this is the most fun I've had with a video game in a long time.

Now this is for those of you who have had Beta access to the "first season"; do you think the Horizons Beta access will be worth the 75 USD (60 with discount) price? How do you guys like having access to the core-game's beta features? Is the transition from playing Beta features to the core-game seamless? I don't want to have to load a separate client just to test Beta features, but if it's more along the lines of my main client being updated with regular updates + beta updates then that is great.

the beta horizons access works the same way as beta access worked with ED up until horizons is released. Only premium beta backers or above roll over into Horizons beta access.

If we get beta access for Horizons, we get beta access for all the updates in that season I presume. Does that mean there is a separate client for the beta stuff? Like when you have the launcher open and it asks if you want to play the full game or the training module, or will we be able to use the beta features seamlessly along with the official releases.

Bah maybe I should just wait for more word from Frontier :). I'm too excited to wait though.
