ED Horizons crashing on startup.

My windows drive crashed and I had to wipe and reload to windows 8.1 Then I tried to install ED Horizons on my D:/ drive as I had it before when it was working fine. Now it will crash on startup when I try to run Elite Dangerous Horizons. Elite Dangerous will load but when logged in it looks like the floodlights are on. It is too bright to see anything.

So, I uninstalled it from my D:/ and reinstalled it on my C:/ drive thinking that it might solve the problem, but it did not.

Well, It's not ED's fault here....

Did you download and install all service packs and updates after loosing the OS? You need to run the updates after installing a legacy OS.

As well, download and install all drivers for your motherboard and video card.

There is much more to do to fix a legacy OS than just installing it from scratch.

Then verify the integrity of your ED installation by using the "Verify File Integrity" on the ED Launcher.

It does not matter where you install ED, C: or D: makes no difference.

As well, support is ending for Windows 8.1 in January of next year. Might think about an OS upgrade.
