Funny, but no, because alpha is some 400 slots left and it's slowly chipping away, but backers number grow much much faster. I think I see lot of one pound, five pound and game price backers. That means people aren't ready to shell out money, but they are interested in game - and in this case for me it is much more important!
Yes this is true, I was at Beta 1 for a long time, but as the time is so near I didn't want to sit around not being in the action, also I class this as a time in history which I wanted to be a part of, I think that a lot of new Alpha backer probably felt the same. It's also great to see so many new backers.
i think the most impressive fact is that on thursday alone we got 12.3 k £ and 385 new backers!

I have backed since the kickstarter and every few months I would increase my pledge a little bit. I just recently upgraded from the pirate pledge to the second round beta test pledge. Just give them some more time more people will come and more people will increase their pledge.
Same here, I went from basic 25 pounder to digital download pack. SC is already overloaded with funds, I rather leave them here
It is good to see many new backers and it is also good to see them on the forums
