Horizons ED is the greatest space game ever created, who's with me?

No doubt about it.
He speaks the truth.
A cross between Freelancer and Elite dangerous Horizons would beat it hands down.
ED has a heap of crap stuff and Freelancer is very light on!
Put 'em together ......... Hey, can somebody mod this up? I'd pay big for a game like that.
Rrobes, don't tell me you are missing out on the Witcher 3, Skyrim, 3 STALKER games and ... whatever!

When I play, I play ONE game until I lose interest, hasn't happened yet here.
Besides, I would miss all the scintillating repartee that flows through this forum.

ED is the greatest space game ever created, that doesn't mean it's perfect. There's so much I love about the game and a few things that seem ridiculous. So ya, it's still great, but sure could use a lot in some areas.
Hella good. I'm with ya. And I can't even play it! (I'm the one without internet anymore- but it's coming back!)
Nope, TIE fighter still holds that crown, XW Alliance in 2nd, Freespace 1+2 in joint third. Elite comes 4th in my book.

I'm with you, pretty much. Sort of. Sometimes it's a giggle, sometimes I have to log off before I say something I shouldn't.
You'll hear no arguments from me. I'd actually go further and say it's easily the single best computer game (of any description) that I've ever played.

I see your point. And loved both Tie Fighter and Alliance big time.
But the lack of a Sandbox galaxy- the lack of a free to explore environment, that is- is always going to put them behind Elite.
Plus I still think that Independence War 2 was basically the best until Elite: Dangerous showed up.
It had the scale, the story, the freedom, the modding, the management, the speed and the Newtonian FM. Hell, still worth a play now!

Instancing works. Maybe not to everyone's satisfaction all the time, but it works.
Engineers work.
Launched fighters work.
Weapons - let me check..... Pew, Pew.... yeah, they work.
Basic space physics - this is not the game you are looking for. Try Kerbal maybe?

gta series and gta v for myself.....a total package of a sandbox open world game that should be a benchmark of basic openworld mechanics.
ED is deffo the best space cockpit game though...no doubt...(rogue system has more buttons to press though and is a sim)..
until another space game releases with all those wonderfull gta style mechanics that i banged about.
its what i expect anyway.
