Damn shame about ED leaving, nuff said.

To spend an hour livestream tonight, with FD staff back slapping, repeatedly thanking the community in full on self congratulatory mode was a bit much and, well a touch nauseating even.

Given the scope and scale of the Distant Worlds event, maybe it would have been appropriate to split the live stream 50/50 and provide some actual content.

Mystified, just how much of a bubble these guys exist in and how out of touch they seem with the community when they do stuff like this, as with tonight.

I quite enjoyed the stream, I agree the devs seem to live in a bit of a bubble but different streams are aimed at different sections of the community & this was very much aimed at the social section, which does line up with the DW2 demographic.

So let them eat cake imo, and look forward to the 28th Jan when Atmospherics will be announced.

Yeh i wonder how the community management will change in the future.

Would be interesting to see if the community team actually doesn't have much scope, or whether more than the sanitised views on reddit will make it through the dev team.
