a work in progress.

judge it by any other standard and you are deluding yourself. at one point every multi-player game was a steaming pile of .... come release it will be a completely different story.

I get the feeling we're going to see more of these posts, especially from players looking primarily for PVP.

PVP isn't a primary focus or design goal of the game, that much is evident not only in the design, but also the statements from the developers, it just isn't, wishing it was isn't going to make it so.

Look forget PvP, elite multiplayer is fantastic for those who sole ambition in the game is to occasionally bump into random other people who they will probably never be instanced with again, for anything beyond that .... its rubbish ...

Funny that he didn't even use the word "PvP in his post. Do you reduce multiplayer ONLY to PvP? Pretty sad if that's the case...

** Edit:
That being said, Multiplayer, PvP, Co-Op, communications, whatever..there is LOTS to improve, it is severely lacking at the moment although I wouldn't personally call it "rubbish". And, IMHO, it's exactly this multi-player aspect which might possibly decide over the success of the game later on. If you think a lone Space Truck Simulator where player interaction is reduced to a single chat line in the upper left has a future you would be in for a big surprise...

Rubbish.

Just saying ...

Yeah, it was even worse in the SP missions. I decided though not to judge to harshly as it was unfinished.

Whats is rubbish is making a cake, sticking all the ingredients in a bowl, then stuffing it in your face without bothering to cook it first.

If everybody did that I'm not quite sure the popularity of cakes would have caught on so much.

Building a chair and trying to sit on it before you put the bolts in. Thats rubbish. I did that once.

Yeah. Rubbish it was.

Beta! I assume you were trying sarcasm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_i3puuhDS2E

It's all rubbish we are all rubbish! It is horrible. It is terrifying. Even the cake is rubbish. The Cake! CAKE

Game is rubbish, world is rubbish, universe is rubbish these forums are rubbish and everyone is horrible! Horrible! BAAAAAAAAAAA

Cake

Whats not rubbish is the flux capacitor to forum member ratio. Theres far too many people already playing the full game.

Then there is us non-scientist folk stuck in a pitiful unfinished beta while Doc Brown and pals are sitting in their bolted up chairs eating cooked cake and have already reached elite and are thinking about a second run (after completing Star Citizen of course.)

If they spoil the end of X-men Apocalypse I wont be happy.

Look... I'm sorry... Really... No truly... So very very sorry...

Apocalypse is actually the son Cable who was cast back in time to Ancient Egypt in the hope that he would see the error of his ways.

Unfortunately Professor X somehow missed the paradox that in sending the child back to that time he would actually be creating Apocalypse and causing the events that led up to this time.

Your assertion might be more interesting if you were to actually provide a cogent, logical explanation for your position. Maybe provide some kind of evidence. In other words - make sense.

i think FD needs to add a confirmation alert window after you log in with your launcher and press play, some thing like: Are you sure you want to play unfinished game in beta stage? ;)

unless you have checked a box in launcher saying "i know it's beta and i will not complain about anything that is not implemented"

anyway multiplayer is not even in the house stage, now it's just a foundation for mp. but still you can play together already and have great fun in doing so, it will be getting better, it's not even the right word, it will be implemented as now we only have couple options where we see/meet others.

Given the size of the play area, how frequent did you expect player encounters to be?

They will only get less frequent when we are released from the fish-tank of Beta into the ocean of Gamma.

Because voicing concerns is best done after the game is released, and not during its development where faults can be cought early, right?

I'm not sure about such a diaspora - don't underestimate the power of the herd instinct.

It wouldn't surprise me if a very high proportion of play occurs in and around the 'home' systems. I certainly intend to keep one of my characters there.
