ED no longer useable with Dash for me-help!

A weird thing happened after I updated the Nvidea driver to the latest version. Elite would load fine through Oculus home but then the headset would freeze although the mirror kept working. I blamed the driver and rolled back to my previous version. When I ran ED though home now, it would start to load and then error out saying it couldn't connect to graph.oculus.com (also OH insisted I had no internet connection). After much faffing around, I fixed that with an entry in hosts, possibly my ISP has a DNS routing problem.

Anyway, I then found I could no longer bring up the Dash or pin windows etc. from within ED. I get kicked to the void every time. I have reinstalled the OH version of ED but it is still the same. Just wondering now whether a full re-install of Oculus software would be the answer unless someone here knows better. D=ash is working ok in all other software, just not ED.

Anyone know if there is a magic switch I can throw to get it all working again?

I would try either running the ED recovery\repair tool, or re-install it.

Sounds more like a game problem than the Rift, since it works for other games.

I'm going for a full re-install of the Oculus software and ED (the Oculus version). Hope this gets me back to where I was :)

Edit: Just as a follow-up, re-install of Oculus software and the OH edition of Elite got me up and running again in Dash.

It's been touch-and-go with Dash+ED for me lately. I think I'm finally on a driver version that is mostly free of problems (397.31) but Dash can be finicky sometimes. I was having the black screen problem too, if I took the HMD off for a second while playing. If you wait long enough it'll come back, but by that point you've probably already crashed into a star. Most recently, the keyboard in Dash will crash and it'll just be blank. That doesn't seem to fix itself until a full restart of the Oculus service.

One strange thing I have noticed and this only occurs in home (the actual house) ....

I have a black triangle floating just above my eyeline, it takes up quite a lot of the view, almost like having a peaked cap on :)
It's surrounded by a thin white line and has white spots inside it which move. If I tilt my head down to below level, it fades out. The strange part is that it persists even though I have a clean install of Oculus home, I assumed I had a corrupt install and it would be corrected in the new install. I've reported it but no-one else has seen this it seems. Wish I knew how to get a screenshot. It's just like when you clip through a wall or the ground plane of a planet (in ED)

Anyone know how to record in Oculus home?
