ED not showing mouse pointer, and can't allow me to type at the end.

Hi,

I am an experienced sim pilot, but first time installing and running Elite Dangerous. When the game started, I cannot see my mouse pointer in the menu. I had to use keyboard to feel my way to the control scheme manual. I also copied a binds for my X45 before I started, but the error log says it cannot find the saiteckX45 device. I was able to stumble to finish the first tutorial flight, but at the end, after leaving the hanger, again I cannot see my mouse pointer, and the program does not accept my keyboard entry so I can't put in my pilot name. Any idea what happened? This is not a brand new game so I can't believe it still has obvious bug like this. It would assume it is some settings. I run this from Stream. I am running Windows 10. Same problem when running with or without VR goggle. Your help and suggestions are much appreciated.

Mouse is only active in menus and maps. You have to use the qewsad keys to move between selections and the space bar to select.

From page 35 of the manual (from the launcher):

Hi Para, thank you for the reply. I don't even see the mouse pointer while I am in the menu, before even I START the game. I am referring to the menu when there is START, OPTION etc. The mouse should be there but it isn't. Any suggestion?
